CAMDTSheridan’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design

Sheridan College’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies (CAMDT), a 40,000 square foot “technology playground,” is a learning environment for students and a testing platform for local manufacturing and industry located in Brampton. Participants are exposed to highly specialized manufacturing and design equipment.
One example is the Integrated Energy Systems Laboratory (IESL), focused on the integration of renewable energy resources with a battery storage unit, customized Energy Management System (EMS) and different Energy Loads within a “virtual grid.”
