Satish Kanwar
Satish Kanwar was the Vice President of Product Acceleration at Shopify, where he headed strategic acquisitions, investments, and alliances with mission-aligned companies and founders. Satish also previously led Shopify’s expansion from online stores to multi-channel commerce, accelerating sales across ecommerce, retail, mobile, and marketplaces, including its partnerships with Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, and Apple.
Before Shopify, Satish co-founded award-winning design studio Jet Cooper, which was acquired by Shopify in 2013 in order to establish its footprint in Toronto. Over the years, Jet Cooper has been credited for helping shape Canada’s startup and design communities.
He is a leader in the Canadian business and technology ecosystem, and an angel investor focused on working with diverse founders. He has been named to Toronto Life’s Most Influentials and Forbes’ 30 Under 30.
Satish graduated from the University of Toronto. He is an Arbor Award recipient.
